Pablo, you'd love to come to my local track, it's so tight you can hear the facker squeek! Liter bikes are at a disadvantage. (Just too much POWA)

The R1 looks like he's target fixating on you in that pic. And he's nowhere near as committed in that corner as you are.
Rich, RIP.

pantablo

that corner opens up to the longest straight of the track, the "drag strip" which is about 3/4 mile long and dumps you into what is usually a sweeper but with this configuration I was hitting 150+, the liters were 165+ going into the sweeper, which at that speed is a serious turn...he was just waiting for it to straighten up....

He also didn't know the track very well...hard to commit yourself.

pantablo

oh haha...I lose 10 cool points.

That makes it negative 324, if you're scoring at home (or even if you're alone).

Nice pics, Pablo.  Do you ever get tired of Buttonwillow?

thanks. no. I L-O-V-E buttonwillow. Its also more interesting because they occasionally run different configurations. This time out they ran the AFM config, which is #23 I think (also ran in reverse direction-CCW). In this configuration the "drag strip" was new...

I dont remember those bikes, except the RC51 behind the ZX. that guy was pitted near me-you couldnt miss those bright yellow dymag wheels! I'd remember a ZX of that vintage.

They look like C group, no? Thats the novice group.
You know these guys? Are they from TX? Hope they had a good time. That R1 doesnt look too bad really. Whats that graffiti in blue on the bodywork say?

Folks from a bout 8 different forums I surf had gone that day...these guys were from www.supraforums.com (first bunch of pics) and from www.rx7club.com.  No one else took pics.  A few people recognized your leathers, though.

He did more damage to his pride than anything else.
