OK OK OK Slow down there all you rabid CA doggies ...
Much like My friend MrDan observed ... CA women look like they have had "Bad plastic jobs, or like they need them" ...
Weather ... WTF ... NC has plenty fine weather, and for those that dont know quite yet ... its south of most of CA. Its right about the same lattitude as Bakersfield. Humid summers and dry winters, instead of the other way round if anyone wants to compare NC and sacramento. In many ways Charlotte acts like a village, we get some ice rain and its lights out. We get about 1 every year dec-jan. it was preceeded and followed by 70 degree days in 2005. But the whole city comes to a halt. Its ice not snow, so no shovelling.
I am thinking of making a move to CA for my son. He has better therapies etc available for him there than in NC. Ironically the other option is NY/NJ and I sneeze and I'll get sucked in there ... and I want to avoid it at all costs. I dont want to go to LA or SF areas. Yea I know, what else is left ???
OK so now who has a job ??? OK you need a resume ... OK fine.
And Pandy ... yea ... cleaning ... I dont do that, sorry, but here is an idea, hitch that beautiful house of yours back to the truck, and leave the windows open and run down the highway at ~60 clicks, and it does a damn fine job of dusting out the thing  :thumb: ... god knows that's what I'd do to my house ... but one of the tars on the house went flat and I am having settling issues in the sweet red mud we have ...
Cool.

Well, I guess I fall under the category of lookin' like I need major plastic surgery!

Have you thought about San Diego (though that's getting as crowded as Los Angeles) or Santa Barbara (I love SB). Not that I'm trying to push you out further, mind you...just innocent suggestions...  :icon_mrgreen:

I'd hitch the house to the truck, but the truck no workee right.  Ya' sure you don't wanna become a cleaning lady?  :icon_mrgreen:

When a woman starts talking about plastic surgery ... there is no right answer ... silence is golden.

SD and SB OK Wife likes SD, but I cant quite get to liking it. I like LA actually, but wife doesn't. I dont like Bay area, but wife does. Never neen to SB - is that a different city than LA is my first reaction.
OK push comes to shove - SD and SB ... But Sac made second on both our lists, and added together its first.
Cool.

SB is much smaller than L.A., it's right on the beach, and yeah it's pretty nice.  Seriously though, why on earth would you want to live in crappy Sacramento when there are so many beautiful places in California?   :dunno_white:

Oh yea ... said the dude from mountain Vue ...
You do know that the mountain you view to the west, is rivalled by the mountain of trash that is in the land fill to the north right ???
Sactown is a lot more fun than almost any other part of CA that I know of ...
BTW anyone that disagrees with me ... I'll make a list and charge ya 2 X for all the parts I will make in sac.
I have to think in terms of where am I going to find a laser shop and a muffler shop and a welder (I might buy one soon) and other assorted nic nacks I am going to need ...
I need a small town, big shitties are not that good for that. In fact I think I am making a big mistake in moving there anyway even in that regard. Charlotte has been excellent, and most of these things I end up going to kannapolis or concord for it. So I might be shooting myself in the foot anyway. And that isn't because Sac'to is too small, its cos sac'to is too big.
Anyway lets see, I might ahve to give it up for a while till I figure it out. but I'll crank out a few 100 bars and case guards+sliders that will fit an 04+ and then I should be OK ...  ;) ...
Cool.

MrDan

Uhh .. why not move to DC .. then you can come work on my bike whenever

Then move to Cary when I get down there in a year or so hahaha

SD was weird when I was there.  It seemed very barren.  All the houses/buildings are on hills looking over wasteland to other hills/buildings on the other side of the valleys.  Love to have a dirt bike there.  Could ride from LA to Mexico without seeing a sole .. excepy that lil Marine base haha

What siberia is taken ... Just kidding ... I dont do hawks ...

Shoreline at Mountain View Park

"Shoreline at Mountain View Park  is a beautiful 700-acre park with a saltwater lake, golf course, rolling grassy hills, and bay trails. It's hard to believe it was built on mountains of trash.  For 13 years, starting in 1968, 500 acres of the land near the bay was used here as a landfill for trash from the city of San Francisco.  In 1983, Mountain View closed the dump and began turning it into a park. Here is a history  of the park. Next to Shoreline Park are the towering tent peaks, the largest in the world, of the Shoreline Amphitheatre  . The park's 50-acre lake is popular with wind surfers and small boaters. The strong bay winds make the park a favorite place for stunt kite flying. The park has 10 miles of trails, some paved, some dirt. Paved trails lead past the golf course, around the lake, and along the tidal marshes and salt ponds . Some trails lead northwest to Palo Alto's Baylands Nature Preserve."

Srinath, when was the last time you saw Sac?  There isn't anything small about it any more.  It pretty much swallowed up Folsom and El Dorado Hills headed east, and is one big metro area now.  Its been coming for years, but really is just huge and sprawling now.  Plus, its a very expensive place to live, the real estate is out of sight, and gettin real smoggy.  Maybe consider one of the outlying areas, some of the commutes aren't all that bad.
