Kreem and POR are the brands I have heard mentioned :thumb:

Use the POR-15 .... I've used it many times and it's always given me good results. I've seen lots of ugly kreem jobs.....

Cost is pretty much the same...plus the POR-15 has a silver finish... much more like factory when you're done.

Hey average!

With "only" 74 posts it's pretty easy to find one of your own from the past.  Just go to your user profile  (from one of your posts, NOT from the "Edit Profile" link above) and click on the Find all posts by average link.

I found your original tank cleaning post about halfway down the first page of abstracts.

I agree with Jared... POR is the way to go.  I've tried to Kreem a tank before, and its no picnic.  They say that you really start to get the hang of it after 3 or 4 times, but we're not doing it as a hobby!

Well you being in NC I doubt it would take two days to get it via UPS. I'm in MD ( they are in NJ) and I've gotten it literally the next day...twice. Order it tommorrow morning and maybe have it by friday night... Worth the wait ...

It's paint by numbers.... Drain the gas out...remove the petcock and gas cap... Mask off the tank so not to get any of the stuff on it... I used closed cell foam (benefits of doing upholstery etc...I have it laying around) to plug the openings in the tank...and I just ran the petcock screws in some to plug the threaded holes...

Follow the directions they give you with the kit...take your time and you will get very good results.

Hey I should sell this stuff!  HEH!
