PPG-and other inhalents

I'm about to try out my HVLP spray guy this spring (when it gets up to 70*) and was starting to begin prep work, as a winter project on my FZR and gs project

My concern is for the plastic fairings and other "flexiable" parts. PPG makes a poly-urthane with flex additives. I was wondering if anyone has tried regular poly-urthane? Does it chip and crack on the plastic over time?

I'm really trying to find out because the "flex additive" is $89.00 a Qt vs regular paint is $25-30 a quart.

I whole heartedly think you should use the flex agent....


Paint may be 30/qt but you're gonna be pissed when you have to pay that price a second time because your paint goes to shaZam! when your plastics flex.


You won't need much of it.  Don't use it on your tank, obviously....


If you don't use it, you'll notice the areas around your body-mounting points wearing first.
