I am looking for a low cost set of race takeoffs to last me the rest of this year and just to save some money. I want a 150 or 160 (hope it fits!) rear to fit on my wider rear wheel and dont wanna be out a lot of money if it doesnt work out. Also need a front tire. And if possible mounting of them there at the track if you know who to talk to...

Thanks!

Did we not discuss you buying my take-offs about a month ago?

I was planning on going but have opted not to. I have a good set of takeoffs that I can send with some other racers from here who are going up. They are BT090's in a 140 rear and a 110 front.

Al Kay is planning on going, too. He might have a 150 rear he'd sell. AK191@aol.com

There should be a tire guy there, too. Should cost you $10 a tire for the mount and balance. You will have to pay a gate fee, too. I'm sure my buds can loan you the tools for you to pull your wheels.

JasonB

Yep but I want a larger rear to go with the larger rear wheel I am getting from Al I also saw someone else had an interest in your race takeoffs. I need a 150/160 rear otherwise its not really worthwhile to get the wider rear wheel! I am just going to bring my front with me in my car and picking up the rear there.

Jason (or anybody else for that matter) -
If you go to Grattan this weekend look me up.  I'll be running the endurance on Saturday afternoon with a couple of friends on my R6.  The front is blue & the back is white.  It currently has number 71 on it, but this is the first time I'll be running with Fasttrax, so I have yet to be assigned a number, hopefully it'll be 71 or 171 or something similar.  I'll try to get a garage if one is still available when I get there, so look for me in the garages or along the pit lane to the west of the garages.

Just thought of this - I'll put GStwin.com down as one of my sponsors...!

Hope to see an angry herd of GS's out there showing 'em all what for!

You'll probably have to wait until the 8/2 Fasttrax round at Nelson Ledges to see the "angry mob".  Well, maybe the angry pair of GS'es in the endurance race.  There might be a half dozen or so for the sprint races on Sunday.

If someone else had interest in my take-offs, they didn't tell me.

Did you check with Al about a take off tire to go on that wheel? I'd think he'd have one or maybe he'd be able to get one from Rich Graver (if Rich has a DOT).

Also, ask around at the track and you'll probably find one from an SV or an EX.

JasonB

Yep I am gonna ask around. Hmm maybe it wasnt you who was posting about the take-off's I get confused easy!
