Yep. I did a conversion on a non-banana (Gamma) model. Basically both sides look like the left side of the banana. I have a pic at home.

It was very easy to convert. I had bushings with captive spacers made for the pivot bolt and axle. No modifications to the swingarm were required. I made a caliper hanger and used a 01-02 GSXR1000 caliper. This one comes with a hanger but I am not sure what caliper I will use. Planning on swapping bearings in the Kat wheel to use the RGV axle but I should need some spacers to align it properly. No problem since I have access to a tooling & machine shop.

The only real issue I had with the Gamma installation was the shock length. I had to shorten the shock (Fox Twin Clicker) as much as possible to get the ride height were I wanted it. This time, I will be building the bike from scratch so I can adjust the height of the upper shock mount as required. I have another Fox TC so I will still have ride height adjustment.

A sweet complement to the GSXR USD forks I have.

D,
use the kat 600 rear....looks real good in the double brace
and it matches the gsxr front.....

if you need any of the space measurements let me know

Was there a point to posting picture of someone else's bike? Or do you just like to fill threads with unnessasary and over sized pics?

I was going to use this thread for future work but I see no need now.

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with this place.

I love you dgyver.  Please don't stop "bothering" with this place.  I'll feel hollow inside.

I'm excited to see your future work!

dang that black swingarm looks sweet!!!!!
i bet it would look even better with a kat 600 wheel

FYI the Banana arm is 91-92 VJ 22
the double braced is 93-96 VJ 22
and then the VJ 23 went back to the banana style

The Buddha

Its a gamma cos Vasco Da Gamma rode it when he discovered Indiana.  :icon_mrgreen:
That's why you have vasco road in Livermore CA. It follows the path he took all the way through to Indiana though the road has been renamed in places to somethign else. I80 I think.  :thumb:
Its also why they say You DA Man. Its started out as Vasco Da Gamma Man, became vasco Da Gamman, and eventually Da man.  O0
Yea he sailed from like Phillipines and found Indiana. yea  O0 ...
Cool.
