Anyone wants to hit Highway 9 => 35 => 84 => 1 to Santa Cruz on GS500's? 3-4 hour trip, lotsa beautiful views and fun roads.
Would be a fun trip for our little lawnmowers!

P.S. I ride at Enthusiastic pace, not extreme, but not slow either.

This has scratch written all over it!  :icon_mrgreen:

And brett? And sanjay? Where *is* everyone!? :P

Gawh...I am so busy at work and I can't post during work hours, and I can't get a decent nights sleep, and because I can't sleep I can't feel good enough to work on my bike, so it still needs to have that darn base gasket and left-hand case cover gasket replaced and I'm coming up on 36,000 miles, which means I'll need to do a valve adjustment, oil change, and carb synch, and because I have to do all this work, means that I shouldn't go on any rides, because that would be like, unsafe, y'know, even though it's leaking oil, but the oil level hasn't changed in, like, three weeks, so all this of makes me so depressed.

I did get the new, used exhaust ready to put on the bike, though (stripped of rust), so I guess that's some progress.  <sigh>

Dude....time to adjust your priorities (and kick some @$$ that's causing you not to get enough sleep! ;) ).... Put your foot down and grab a weekend for yourself to do the work and take a ride!  :icon_twisted:

Bnaderaz - When you go down 1, stop in Davenport for a Whale City Burger, and then turn left up Bonnie Doon Rd.  You'll have a much more fun time than S.C.  Stick to your right at the top, and turn left to go to Felton (on Felton-Empire Grade/Rd.) to get to 9.

Pandy - Hopefully, this weekend I'll get her all done, may even have to take Monday off.

I'm in the same boat as scratch. My bike needs work, and I haven't gotten around to it. Between rain, the end of DST, no garage, and busy weekends, I'm almost to the point of saying screw it and taking it in to Hare.

Indeed!  Let's see, I have rear rotor replacement, front caliper rebuild, some oil leaks to resolve, and a strange noise to troubleshoot...

You can just go with Pandy.  She'll teach you all about low-speed manuevering and creative parking!

I'd love to, but my GS is not currently rideable either.
Neither is my new TL... still waiting for the rubber...
If Pandy really wants to hit parking lots, I've got an ex500 with -2 / +24 sprockets, it's everything, but street legal... Just gotta find a privately owned one with no authorities around.

Haven't been aboard neither of my toys for a week and I'm getting really depressed.

pandy

No worries; I hit parking lots just fine on my own.  :cookoo:

Oh..you meant to ride in parking lots?  :icon_lol:

Well....parking lots won't help much with my little....er...problems...they go much....MUCH.....deeper!

Everyone needs to get their bikes back up! Riding season is just starting here!  ;)

Wish I could, but my GS's are pretty much miscellanious parts now...

I'll pick one up this summer maybe, funnest bike I've ever had.

brett

I caved, I'm taking it in to Hare. I'm going to the track over Thanksgiving weekend, so between work and college football, I wasn't getting anything done. So now I guess it's time to start planning the December BAGS and see who is really scared of the rain. ;)

My baby is parked outside my office. When I left the house this morning, the predictions were that it would rain by 3PM. I ain't no wuss!  :flipoff:

Pandy, just to let you know...it's not going to rain today.  Just call it: "Old Biker's Intuition".  Sorry to disappoint.

wtf, is my GS the only one running in all of the bay area!?     :nono:

Though I do have to change the oil, replace a couple of light bulbs, and more importantly, do the darned valve adjustment and return Sanjay's shim tool already...

Sounds almost like we should have a wrenching party!

Oh the irony!  But hey, you haven't gone riding with me and Matt the last two times we've been out.   :nono:  I go for rides even though my bike is falling apart!

Mine's running...it's just leakin' back and forth to work.  Hopefully, it'll only have one day of downtime this weekend, I should have it up and running just in time for the rain Tuesday.
