I look forward to seeing pictures and a write up on the Alaska trip.

So guys. . .

I looked at Mapquest for a while.
From KC to Knoxville would take us 15 hours if we went through St. Louis then South to Memphis.  Screw that, I saw.  We need to take 63 Highway all the way to Memphis.  Then due east to Knoxville.  The Tail of the Dragon isn't far from Knoxville.  But if we rode 7 hours each day, we'd get to Knoxville in two.  That is going to be a Buddha Loves You.  Just my $.02.

We may have to do it in three day, is all I'm saying.

yeah st. louis to memphis via the interstate is terrible, and boring.  I live in north alabama, about 2.5 hours SE of Memphis, might make a good overnight stop for you guys unless its too far south.  I'm about 4-5 hours from the gap.

How is the road form your house to the Gap?  If there is a bunch of mountains and twisties. . . we could hook that up.  And maybe you could join us on your motard!  It would give us another reason to stop every 100 miles.

lol better make it 75 miles for me...  Yeah some great roads... the Little River Canyon, Lookout Mtn and Chattanooga are along the way.  Of course, twisty's over interstate will lengthen that 4-5 hours I quoted.

Even if you don't come this way, I'd like to meet you guys somewhere for a Gap run.

Back to the subject (but have a great ride 'round the Gap) -

I got the series from our library (no cable for me, too cheap) and was totally absorbed by it for a whole week.  I do wish they hadn't whined so much and had cut back on the gratuitous F-this F-that.  It could have been decent family entertainment had it not been for that..

I liked all the F-bombs.  Believe me, I would have been cussing up a storm.

I also enjoyed Feasting on Asphalt.
