More of color choice. solid or reflective.

Im going to try the reflective. ill add comments when I try installing it.

I think the reflective looks nicer - though it seems to show a little teal-shaded with a flash - maybe that's my monitor.  Regardless, I think it looks decent when it's lit up - reminds me of brakes heating up on the 24 hrs of Le Mans cars :)

It does look really teal, but at night you wont be able to compare it to the blue as much.
They look good during the day, so you can only go wrong if you do a lot of night riding, like i do
I can only fantasize... until they come in.

The reflective blue looks matches really good with the stock blue paint on the 04 and 05's.  Another option would be to go with the white reflective, but it looks a tad more silver than white.

Someone asked about the pieces of rim tape.  If you order from Tape works.com you get 5 strips of actual rim tape on 1 back round.  You have to cut each strip of rim tape off ( at least thats the way I did it makes working with the tape alot eaiser).  Then apply to your rim.

If you order from one of the other companies out there they usually come 4 pieces to each side of the rim.  Makes working with the rim tape very easy but you can tell where the tape over laps each other.

I've got a black '96 and stuck red reflexive rimtape on it last summer. My process was fairly simple- I washed with soapy water, dried, then rubbed with rubbing alcohol which took off any last residue. I applied the rear wheel tape on the centerstand, I had the front tire off already so that was easier. If you just take your time it goes pretty easily and looks great afterwards.

Anyone use the stuff from streetglo, it's a good deal cheaper, although doesn't have the same 3/8" width, they have 1/10", 1/8", 1/6", 1/4", then 1/2"

1/4" might work alright, and it's $9.59 for 37.5' roll [plus shipping].
