Does anyone have personal experience or any input to give on the Teknic Lightning
one piece suit?  All input is appreciated as I am considering picking one up.

Unless you're doing a lot of track days (like, a LOT) or racing, I'd say go with a two-piece suit. You'll appreciate being able to take off the jacket and not be sweltering in the pits or have to lug around the top half of the suit while it's hanging off your back.

The main reason that I am looking at the one piece over the two piece is that it is about 150 cheaper than the two piece right now.  For that much of a difference I think I can deal with drawbacks of a one piece.  However, if you guys have any alternate suggestions then let me know.  FYI - the one piece is only 399
Thanks!

Good prices, however, most did not have the size that I need.  Speaking of sizes, I usually have trouble getting one to fit right through the midsection while still being tall enough.  Height wise, most suits recommend a 52 for me but that would be way too big around the midsection.  Are there any that usually fit a tall slim build better?

I'm tall and slim (excessively so) and A* stuff fits me pretty well. I'm 5'10 and 130, fit into a 36 jacket pretty nicely, so 36-38 suits work idealy for me. Extrapolate from there.

A*, MotoGP, and Teknic are all cut fairly trim, from what I understand.

Thats good to hear, although I am much taller at 6'4" and not quite that slim at 225.  I may just see about waiting till I can get some better test fits before I buy one.  Thanks again for the input.

You'll like a one-piece until the first time you have to use a gas station restroom.  Dragging my sleeves through that liquid on the floor isn't a nice thought.  Plus, if it fits properly it should be very difficult to get out of by yourself.

For street riding I'd get the two-piece.  Much more practical.   :)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

This wont be for street riding.  I wear two pieces for that.  It would take some really extreme street riding for me to even consider a one piece.

Ahh, well in which case a 1pc is definately superior.  Have fun on the track!   :)

1 piece for the track for sure, some organizers won't allow 2-piece.  Its a rare occurance, but why risk it?

Motorcycle Closeouts is in KC.  I recommend that store.  I have met Rusty, the owner, a couple of times.  He is supper cool and does all kinds of riding.  His street bike is a Hawk GT.   Last time in there, I bet we talked to him for 30 minutes.  I tried on one of the Fieldsheer one piece suits in there.  They looked pretty well made and I may order one today.  But Motorcycle Closeouts is sweet.
