Holy crap. You have some cultured and financially stable friends/family who gave u well thought out, highly specific gifts. Lucky bastard.  :icon_razz:

re Saints and Soldiers... I totally forgot I saw this movie... which means it didnt really stand out for me. I think it was really good... but didnt resonate with me as much. On the other hand,

Band of Brothers

:o :o :o :o epic. For all time. And the speech by the old hispanic vet in the extras was really touching. He was like, "I love you all like my own brother".

I like the motocross lid, Stephen.  And then do you just wear goggles with that when you ride on the street?  Do people ever wear street helmets when they ride the motards, or other street gear?

thanks Jake.   I only had street gear when i first got the motard, which works fine on the street.  But soon after I got a set of knobby tires and started riding trails... didn't take me long to figure out a street helmet is way too hot riding slow trails in the summer.

I have a really short commute to work (like a mile), so in the summer I generally wear a mx helmet and sunglasses.  For trail riding I do have goggles, but I only wear them in really dusty conditions.  I also use safety glasses on the trail too with the mx helmet.  It all depends on the conditions.

I find the break-over point about 55-60 mph, where if i'm gonna be riding at high speeds I only want the street lid as the mx just gets pushed around by that big visor... but at lower speeds running around town i'm usually wearing the mx lid, except when its freezing :thumb:

As time moves me closer to the age of enlightenment, I find that the motards are getting closer to my heart as well.  Not as a sole means of two wheeled transportation, but as a second.  I still have to have a liter-twin sport bike to make my eyes bug out of my head from time to time.
