Cheap Case Guards

Found some cheap case guards for sale.  They look exactly the same as Suzuki OEM, but they are made by the company selling them (MC Enterprises).  No idea how well they're made or anything, but perhaps someone here has ordered them and can fill us in. 

They're on "blowout" sale for $40 plus shipping, part# 1000-90, 58 in stock.  Website is http://www.mcenterprisesusa.com.  I'm considering these over the Motech ones, since the price is so much better.

Just to make sure, those will fit a k1, 2001 model?  It says GS500e, but i just wanted to check,  thanks!

2001 is the same as 'e' (89-00) models in regard this case guard.

Yeah I thought the same thing.  I emailed to double check, and was told that they're not manufactured by Suzuki.

They'll fit ANY naked GS500, including F models with the fairing removed.

Indeed.  I checked with them and they have 58 in stock, but no plans to make more.

I bought them,  46.50 shipped is a frickin steal.

These are identical to the suzuki factory gaurds, the bolts are even the same. The only thing is the directions are wrong.

They tell you to use the 10" bolt up top, when you need to use the 11" bolt, for the lower mount you use the 10" bolt, but skip the lock washer or you can never get the threads to go into the nylon portion of the lock nut

Do we need to purchase new bolts? or do they come with the kit?

I'd send an email to the company and ask. I'm 99.9% sure they'd come with the bolts.. cuz finding aftermarket bolts that are the right strength and the right length would be almost impossible.

These case guards are still for sale, and it sounds like they have quite a few left in stock.  $47 (shipped) for a great set of case guards, folks!  The company MC Enterprises seems like a great group of people, too.  I ordered mine at 6:00 PM central time and he said they'd be shipped by 9:00 AM tomorrow.
