There's antifreeze coming from the head gasket (It looks like it's coming from there anyway).  The bike has been in storage since last December.  What could have caused this?  I'll post some pics when I get back from school tonight.

My GS has leaked off and on for years. Betcha it's #3 cylinder that's the culprit. Every GS owner is so-o-o-o embarrassed about that coolant leak, that they never want to admit to it or talk about it. Just keep the radiator topped up, and don't worry  about it.  :cookoo:

I agree. Last year when I was running in the lead on the dakar that darned synthetic blinker fluid gave out and I had to limp home barely edging out the rest of the field by 3-4 hours. Sheeeeee...sh I hate when that happens. I have heard you can put beer in there and get by till you get to the next check point. Cindy Crawford who was my co rider last year suggested that. But I just managed. Boy was she grateful I didn't put beer in there ...

Sounds like your typical worn out powerband. You'll have to replace it, so while you're at it, might as well swap out the stock yellow powerband for a new red one and get some performance gains. The red one is stiffer, so the deforcinator will spool up faster, and deliver more fuel to the ceramic teflon muffler bearings (also probably worn out) where a three to five horsepower gain is to be found.

Dude?  Where are you getting your information?  He has an 04 GS, they did away with the ceramic style muffler bearings WAY before that.

Correct. The deforcinator is pneumatic, and the muffler bearings 1.2 that are on these now have been optimised for an electrolytic inversion transfer zapper sequence. Together they remove less than .001 horsepower while adding more than 5-6. Like lose less and gain more.

That's not antifreeze, that's pee, your hamster has drowned itself; both exhaust valves must'ave been shut, and he couldn't get out.

You're BOTH wrong.

Quite clearly ceramic, and they weren't pneumatic until '05. Still coal fired.

You Know I Actually seen that Happen in the Auto Shop in School. There were 2 twins that Couldn't Stick their Thumbs in their Asses so the Shop Teacher put them on Tire Rotation Duty the Whole Semester. One day he walked out after they had rotated the Tires on a Car to Rotate the Air Too. :icon_lol: :icon_lol: well they Let the Old out and Pumped the Tires Back up to the Recommended Tire Pressure.
This Same teacher Came over to the Building Trades Shop one day and Brought the New Freon Leak Tester to see if the Freshmen in class was Smoking. He told everyone else in the Other Classes what it was and not to blow into it.Well he Picked out the Ones that was Smoking and they Blew in it.When it started Beeping they shaZam! in their Pants because they knew they were Susended.Actually He Didn't give a shaZam! he just wanted to see them Panic.
Then there was the Time that he sent the Girls into the Wood working Shop to get Hole Stretchers.  The wood Shop teacher told them that he would give it to them if he Knew they wouldn't get in trouble since it was a Big Expensive Tool and they might Break it.  They also sent the same Girls to go get Left Handed Hammers since the Right handed ones just weren't working for them.It was a Real laugh when they came back with 15 lb Sledge hammers and drove Nails for 2 Solid Hours. :laugh:Then there was the Wood Welding Rods. :thumb: That was a Real Hoot turning them loose with a Drill and Filling Holes with Dowel Rods and Wood Glue.
Man those were the Good times.I drank my First Pint of Baccardi Rum in that Class before School Started and almost got Caught.Luckily the Security Gaurd didn't Smell it on me and It didn't kick in until Class Started. All of the Teacers was Wondering why I was Passed out Dead in Class. My buddies Cover For me and told them I was Sick. :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: Geez I miss the Good Old Days When I pulled more Drunks in School than when I gradiated. :thumb: :thumb:

You've all got it wrong! And I can't believe that its been over looked. The most important part of the gs, without it, it would only have like 45 hp, the flux capacitator, its discombobulated. Geez! If its that far gone it may need a rebuild, I thought that autozone sell the recharge kit.
If it comes out of your body you shouldn't be afraid to hold it in your hand! :o
