The damaged cover isn't critical you can glue a new one on, in the US it's 10$
Behind the whole cover is a clutch assembly
How can you ride in that snow?

No, behind that cover is the ignition rotor.  I don't reccomend gluing the cover together.  In the past, others have broken the end of the crank shaft off in a wreck because they glued the cover back on.  The only fix is to replace the entire crank shaft.

If the ignition pick up wasn't damaged then it's not so bad, mine came off and I glued it back in
I mean the one with the suzuki logo on it and not the ignition cover itself
I understood that only the suzook logo came off  :dunno_white:

Are these scratched fairings black with silver graphics, i.e. 2006 color scheme?

If so, you have little choice but to obtain the correct year graphics from Suzuki. I know of no aftermarket suppliers for the Suz graphics.

Most of the plastics are molded black and then painted over with that year's color schemes.
The graphics are then applied over the painted parts.

We need to differentiate between the cast aluminum ignition timing cover on the RH side AND the adhesive backed Suzuki emblem on the same cast cover.

If I read your first post correctly, it sounds like only the adhesive back item came off. If this was the case, you would then have a hole visible in the RH cast timing cover.

If, on the other hand, your entire cast timing cover came off -- due to shearing the three bolts that secure it to the engine case cover -- that's a different thing altogether.
CLICK HERE to see a GS with the timing cover off -- due to a wreck. This is a pre 03 model. 04+ have a single pickup coil.

Please confirm your situation.

Yes its the thin adhesive backed cover with Suzuki on. I can see a little nut spinning....!

Great! As long as the cast cover hasn't been flattened from the drop, you should be able to purchase a new one from either the Suz dealer or an online store.

You will want to make certain you get the year correct. Although older models have the same size, the color schemes varied -- black engine, black sticky plate -- silver engine, silver sticky plate -- later models did not make the "Suzuki" name black on the silver plates. There are about 4 variations in the plates. RH and LH are the same per year.

In short, get the correct year plate or you could be surprised at the color.  :o
