Tank protector suggestions?

We have a bike with a tank protector, the little stickers that go on the tank right by the seal, that totally sucked.  It was a carbon fiber replica protector that has disintegrated after less than a year of moderate use.  What brands have you guys had good luck with?  We want to replace the one on that bike and get one for another bike but don't want to replace them every six months.  Thanks!

I bought my wife the vinyl tank bra which doesn't cover the area in front of your crotch where all the wear and scratches happen...plus its a real hassle to put onand off if you need to gas up.... it is now a$65.00 wall hanger in my garage....
