Why this message board is so unique

Some more observations:

- Moderators don't talk about members behind their backs -we poke fun at you to your face

- members are courteous to each other other than a friendly poke or barb here & there

- Tight knit group of people that share a common interest

- no post whores (exc for Pablo)

- More female members than the average board.

I find the little time I have to screw off I spend more and more reading posts here.  Other bike boards are so big you get lost with all the posts but here seems just right.

But, seriously, this is a great forum, I hardly ever visit any of the other GS500 forums or BARF(Bay Area Riders Forum).

The community nature of this board is great. The topics stay lively and don't drift from motorcycles too much unless it's helping a member out with a problem.

I love this board.. I usually check it everyday to read up on any interesting topics about the GS!  I have gained so much information off of this board, I don't know where to begin.  Just want to say thanks to all members for advice and great topics!!!  Rock on GStwin!!!

I also have to say thanks to everyone here.  You all have saved me lots of hard earned dollars,  a ton of time by me not haveing to learn by making expensive mistakes and costly unusable parts buying.

I have become adicted to this board.  I work as a Network Analyst (impressive eh?) for a computer monitoring company.  I sit all night with several computers around me at my station, and I usually have one connected into the board.  I even have some co-workers come over and sit down and start reading posts.  They are amazed at how helpful and kind all the people are here.  I have even had a supervisor suggest that if we had half the cooporation, team work, and problem solving efforts at work as we do on this board, well you know what I mean.

I appreciate the help and dedication in getting a fellow rider back on his/her wheels. Even though you've never met them.  I felt welcome from the first day I posted here and feel really warm and fuzzy right now.

Yea, the cooperativeness of this board may be the glue that holds it together.  That and hands off moderators that don't bully, intimidate or bother members.  I have always thought that it wouldn't last, but it has so far.  Really tremendous stuff.  My job as admin has been easy because of you guys.

And to think, I use the term 'point whore' while playing darts and some of my friends have no clue what that means! (running up cricket scores cause you're either a bastard or you have no confidence in your ability to win)

This site is awesome!  Where else could I have met up with 7 other GS riders in my area than on this board?

This site has been a tremendous help to me for mod help and maintanance tips.  I think its cool that everyone is cool with each other and can add their 2 cents and experience without fear of flames.
