So I got boxed in while lane splitting on my way to work this morning and the only way out was to hit the side view mirrors of the two cars who were working their way towards crushing me. After I got out of the tight spot I took a look back and didn't see any damage, made eye contact with each of the drivers and they didn't seem pissed or anything, just shrugged. So traffic started moving again, so I went. Is there anything else I should have done? Does this qualify as a hit and run?

Hope I don't get some kind of insurance letter in the mail in a couple of days. I'll bet this post would count as evidence too wouldn't it? I should get some hand guards.

If there was no damage, then it's not really "Leaving the scene of an accident."

Although, the drivers could have taken down your plate number, called the cops, and told any number of lies, simply to get back at your for getting to work faster than they can.

I worked with a woman that got a ticket in the mail for $1000/littering.  She found out that another driver called her in and she couldn't really fight it either, since it was her word vs the other driver's word.......   And why would the other driver lie?  :icon_rolleyes:
