What "fast" bikes have you been on?

The fastest thing I've ridden was about 4 years back, a mid '90's CBR 900. The thing had been worked was an absolute rocket.

I was too scared to give it more than 1/3 throttle, but did manage to see 200k/h on the speedo.
The more I learn about women, the more I love my bike.

Get on that Terry.  Was with the 5th SFG(A) from 87 to 90, then started 3rd SFG(A) and stayed until ETS in Dec 92.

BTW nothing on earth is more fun than a STABO ride at 100 knots hanging from a rope.

OK, back on topic

I've seen em doing that in training!!!  It looks like a friggin blast!!!  BTW....did anyone else here know that the GS  won't take a vette from a light :o  It does however grab more attention when only half your wheels are contacting the ground. I'd like to see that vette pop a wheelie!!  Well I learned that the hard way :icon_confused:
And one more off-topic:  anyone see that new movie 'Peaceful Warrior',  dude rides that damn bike like he's on some serious crack!!!!

May be not a new one, but the gs is faster than my 89.  That is based on a 1/4 mile blast, and checking top speed.

89 vette--- 95 in unofficial 1/4 mile
92 GS-----110 in same

spc

yeah it was that new bastard that they say has 500hp  :cookoo:
It freaked me out cause I can usually blow past em, and don't even get me started about the little mustangs and camaro's :thumb:

I think the standard 07 c6 still has 400 hp.  The Z06 is around 500 IIRC.

I was looking at the standard while at the chevy dealer getting a part for mine.  While my wife was complaining about buying a $100 part, I pointed out the $60k price tag one the new one.   She stopped complaining.

I know a guy who had a new zo6 for a short while.  He liked all the little gadgety aspects and the raw power, but he said he just didn't feel comfortable with the handling :icon_confused:  So he sold it and upgraded to a 911 s turbo:  Absolutely Insane Car!!!!!  You can almost feel your skin peeling back under hard acceleration!!

I saw The Peaceful Warrior Movie...several times.   Aside from the wreckless riding scenes, a damn good movie.  BTW:  the way he rides is part of the movie's message.  The message is a breath of fresh air compared to the same ol' crap that seems to dominate the big screen.

It really was an excellent movie :thumb: :thumb:  One of the very few non-military movies I enjoyed

Rode a Duc 748- which was fast as hell and just plain uncomfortable.

Also not a bike, but my buddy's 125cc shifter Kart was a helluva lot faster than anything I've driven.... or at least felt like it.

Rode my friends TL-1000r that's all raced out and modified.....puts my SV to shame in every way except comfort.
2006 SV650 K6....Finally back up and running!!! Now let the mods flow!

The only fast bikes I've ridden are my own (Super Hawk) and Destro's 600.  That bike has top end that will get your attention.
