Finally posting a pic of my bike after a fenderectomy, reflectorectomy, and Clear Alternatives tail.  Nothing anybody here hasn't seen before, but thought I'd share anyways  :) .  It looks kinda stupid with the stock signals, they were supposed to be replaced with LP short stalks but they were on back order too long  :x  and I cancelled my order.  Maybe next time.

You stop by and pick up a pair of buell rear signals for $14 and they are fairly short.

Yeah, I considered the buell.  They look cool, with the amber insert, but I want to go completely clear to match the tail.

Hey Scott. where did you find the clear tail light? Does "clear alternatives" have a website. I suppose I could look myself but I am just lazy! Anyhow, the bike looks good. I did the fenderectomy also, took it a step further with Pantablo's lisence plate relocation and did the stalk shortening too. All that from this website and a link or two in Pantablo's. Major difference!!.  Was thinking about flush rear signals......... Well, bike looks great and good luck with future mods!(my gs is a 97 also) :thumb:
I regret that I have but one ass to ride a bike with.

You need to find a place to host your image, then you just use the img tags in your msg to display the pic.  Example:

I just heard of a site called http://www.uploadit.org/ that is supposed to offer free hosting of pics for forum use, not sure how it works or how good it is but it might be worth checking out.[/url]

looks good! looks like you've got plenty of fender left to mount flush mount turn signals there! Clear ones...that coul dbe sweet but the LP shortys look great too. I'd do those if I hadn't gotten my Buells for cheap(er).

Look at Dennis Kirk's catalog for the clear lensed replacement turnsignals part no. 21-0097 and 21-0098, or 21-0109/21-0111 are shorter. Just look so that you know what's available out there. I ordered Yamaha turnsignals from a local shop for $12 (Dennis Kirk p/n: 21-397/21-398) and removed the stalks to make them shorter (no cutting required, but you will need to buy some lampstand tubing (threaded on the outside) and nuts to mount them, from your local lighting or hardware store. You could order the clear versions, p/n:21-0126/21-0127.

Also, check out cruisedaddy's thread http://www.gstwins.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3419

Thanks for the info, scratch.  I hadn't seen the other thread, between here and neons.org I can't find enough time to read all the threads  :( .

I think for now I'm going to put off the signals, put too much money into it so far this year and still needs tires and jetting which are more important.  I'm not getting rid of it at least until I'm out of college, so it's not going anywhere!
