after a long process of hunting pic's, I've decided to go with bar-end mirrors.

there are a few things I would like to know if someone could help.

can you see out of them?

Will they fit over stock bar-end wieghts?

which would you recomend?

If I remember right these are supposed to replace your bar ends, which begs the question "do the mirrors weigh more or less than your bar ends?".
I would be guessing if I said I knew what vision was like but theoretically it seems sound enough.

I don't have them, but I have ridden bikes with them and the vision was good. they are lower, obviously, but also further out. I didn't have my elbow in the way like I do with my mirrors. Yes, they do replace bar end weights. They slide into the end of your bar. negligible difference in vibration I would imagine, but I don't know for a fact.

I've run a few different types now.  vision is not a problem for me.  my shoulders are broader and usually end up looking at my arms with conventional mirrors (even with elbows tucked in).  i've also got convex lenses on my bar end mirrors so my field of vision is much greater - I can see the side of my lunch strapped to my tail on the way to work.  you do have to look down a little further which isn't everyone's preference, but it's not an issue for me.  just sit on a bike with them on and see how you like them to decide.

as far as fitment goes, you've got a couple of options.  usually the mirror replaces the bar end weight, using an insert adaptor that may or may not come with your mirror.  I did this with my old drag bar setup, and it was fine for me, even with 6+ hrs ride.  in my new setup, I was making new clip on tubes, so I just extended them about 1/2 inch so that I could clamp them on the bar itself, and still run bar end weights.  this is the preferred setup to minimize vibes in the mirror (that's what crg reccomends).  there's pics in my other thread if you want to have a look (on pg 1, is a link for last years setup with just the mirror; pg 2 had new mirrors + bar end weight).
