I nominate Honda Interceptor

What a great name, bitten from aviation. It rules.

Any contenders?

Honda Fireblade
Honda Firestorm
Yamaha Thunder Cat
Yamaha Thunder Ace

Outside of that, Wraith.  Unlike bikes such as the "Interceptor" and "Thunder Cat", which do not really have a resemblance to their namesake, the Confederate Wraith looks like the soul-sucking undead beast she's named after...and is.

I do have to say that the Thunder Cat is the one step below the Wraith because everyone knows Thunder Cats kick bitchin ass.

Thunder Cats hoooooooo!!

The 'Wratih' is a seriously f%$king awesome looking bike and definitely matches it's name :thumb:  Tomohawk is a good name too but not for the bike it is assigned, i'd go with something like HoLyFuCk!!!!!500 for that

RVertigo

Sorry guys, I gotta give this one to Mak.

Wraith has it. :thumb:

What about the Ducati Monster? Too tame of a bike to really be a "monster"? What about the S4Rs? Too pretty?

How about the Kawasaki H2 Mach IV? From what I've heard it made you feel like you were going that fast back in the day, and it did it while snarling and spitting and screaming the whole way.

What about anything with Supermotard in it? It sounds like it's super retarded, which is how it makes you ride... or so I hear.  :thumb:

Monster?  Eh...  Better than most bike names, but Wraith still wins.

makenzie71

Well the S4R Monster is a pretty tame bike in comparison with Japanese, and even some American, equivelents, but it is a better name than most.  The 600 may as well have been called the Fluffy, though.

Besides, Monster doesn't suit the bike as well as Wraith suits the Wraith.

for a comparo...

...vs...

...it's a shame there are no good pics of the Wraith online.  Oh, and fans, go check out Confederate's site.  The B120 is out.

I'm sorry, you're all wrong...the greatest name ever bestowed a motorcycle was the Black Shadow...

Second to that would be the Bonnieville.

No other motorcycle has set the world on its ear than those two setting world speed records at the Bonnieville salt flats.

And, the 600 Monster was imported for one year.

Anybody remember the Kawasaki 650 Specter?
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

While a GREAT motorcycle, the name lacks that dark, forboding and sinister theme.

While all those bikes may be cool and have cool names...  Wraith still has a cooler name.

Sorry...   :dunno_white:

Cursed as I am with 40+ years of riding experience and memory, I should point out that the name "Interceptor" was used as late as the '60s on "Royal Enfield" motorcycles. You want an off the wall name, grasshopper?.......tell people that you ride a "Thruxton Velocette" Say wot? Or a Matchless P-11. An obscure '60s sport bike......a "Metralla"
It's not how fast you go, rather "how" you go fast!

Super Hawk 996 is the coolest name ever.   Witness. . .

Either that or Black Shadow.   Or Brutale.
