Turned the race from a 37 x 48 down by one millimeter.  Worked great.

Tonight I pulled the carbs and adjusted the float bowls to the correct height, re-routed my fuel lines and wired the rear turn signals.

I fired the bike up and it runs much better. I am pretty sure it was only running on one cylinder previously. I still need to sync the carbs and adjust the pilot screws (running lean).

I plan on wiring the tail light tomorrow and making the final adjustments to the carb.

I am in awe of the work you've done, but I'm waiting for you to come to the realization that those mufflers are overkill and not good-looking as well.  Too much weight and too high.  It would look sooo much better with a 2-into-1 pipe, which is simple, and that is the essence of the GS; simplicity.

Love the project otherwise!  :thumb:

I still like the mufflers.  Maybe one day I'll change it, but not anytime soon.

The carb is still not getting any gas in the right float bowl, so I'll be pulling them off again tonight to try and figure out why.

I made one like shown in the wiki, just haven't used it yet.  If it doesn't work as shown I'll take you up on the offer.

I'm not sure why the right float bowl isn't getting any gas.  Something could be clogged.

Mdow

^ sounds logical or the float is set SUPER wrong

Yeah, I plan on checking the floats again also.

I had that problem once upon a time.  Needle valve was sticking, so the bowl would fill up real slow and this was a 125 so it only had one bowl.  It would run fine for a couple minutes until the bowl ran dry, then it would die.  Then after 5 mins it would run for another minute or two.  A tiny grain of grit of some sort, probably sand, it all it was.

Just my few opinions.

Cool design options. Those stock ducati pipes are HEAVY plus quiet, if you are going to do it throw some real aftermarket pipes on there instead of ducati stockers, also, all pre 2004 monsters did not have emissions canisters under the side cover below the seat. Find ducati monster side covers that don't have that bulge so that it matches the left side of the bike. Thiat will make it look much better, and both sides will match. I had carbon fiber side covers, which they make without that emissions bulge too. Are you thinking of putting a seat cowl cover over the passenger area? Other than that pretty cool, why don't you just buy a Ducati?
Twisty stuff is for me

awesome; doing something similar but with an 01 wheel with 5mm spacers on the calipers. what you do about the steering stops/ignition lock? do the stock clipons hit the tank/frame?
