So, we all know what HD's, GS's, Gixxers and CBR's sound like. Some folks can pick theirs out of a crowd. All of us know we've heard a sweeeeeet sounding bike and locked onto it's rythem, memorized and lusted after it. Or maybe I just need more "ME" time.

So go on then, list that bike FIRST and then tell the tale afterwards. Here, I'll even start it off in the next post.  :thumb:

We were leaving a HD-fest when one roared to life, and burbled away, a little note of a cb750 whir from up front. Loved it. Absolutely awesome sound.

OK, you get the idea!   O0

I really like the liquid cooled L-twins with an aftermarket exhaust.  I guess I'm thinking Superhawk, RC, TL, SV

Great rumble, but also a little more polished and rythmic sounding than a 45 degree air cooled v-twin (ie. HD)

There is a guy I ride with who traded his FZ1 in for a Tuono. His Tuono came with a full Ti Arrow exhaust system and a custom CF airbox. From idle to redline it sounds like it wants to rip someone's torso in half and eat their intestines. And then there are the power wheelies...

1982 Yamaha XZ550 Vision with full porcelan Jardine pipes.  Just barely legal at 114dbs.

But, you can't really beat the sound of a Norton WFO on the banks of Daytona.

AMA Superbike Ducs on decel into turn 2 at Sears Point, and accelerating out of the same turn, are pretty sweet, though.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
