thanks... the matrix isnt clear on it. seems like it would be a pretty common setup..

werase643

clear as mud

more than one setup will work good....only way to get it best is to DYNO it several times with different combinations.....

Oy ... dont listen to werase ... he's got one weird sense of humor.
150 mains, 40 pilots, 1 #4 washer under needle and 3 turns out on mix screws.
The floats should be at the top of the bowl and no more and make sure there aren't no vacuum leaks.
Cool.

Srinath and I agree the other one is a friggin dumba$$

I will never use his jetting
a 150 is too big a jump from stock and makes it run a tad rich up top
since he never uses the top RPM it does help in the mid range for him

He thinks mine is retarded

use what ever you want

Oh yea ... oh yea ... I use the top rpm ... I can use it any time I want ... anytime I want ...
Anyway, you wont lose rpm till you overcook it on the richness. That happens at 150 to 152.5 ... not till that. 140 will be lean, but it will make more power, marginally more power. It comes at the expense of engine temperature. 150 is as rich as you can get without a stumble or loss of rpm up top. go to 152.5 and you'll immediately know. BTW I still made 43 hp with the 150/40's when I tested my 90 back in 99.
Cool.
