How to fit motorcycle pants

So I bought some Teknic Sport Leather pants (http://www.motodepot.com/product_detail.php?cid=965&sku=2540)  based on their online sizing chart alone.  I'm usually a 31 and they recommended a 32 rather than a 30.  The pants got here and the waist area fits perfectly, I"m slightly concerned that the legs might be a little too long and too wide.  The calve area is snug, but around the quads and buttock and standing, the pants is more losse.  In a riding position though, everything is more snug.  So should motocycle pants be snug when standing and tight in a riding position?  Are you guys pants loose in the same area when not in a ridingi position?  thanks,

Now, on the other hand, a once piece suit should be a little tighter when standing and be a little loser when your all bent over on the bike.  You have "moose knuckles" when standing, but not sitting, in other words.

Hey let's think of funny names for camel toes:

Moose knuckle
Cougar paw
Camel toe

Oh man, looks like i maybe stuck w/ these unless I can sell them, my girlfriend cut off the tags, and they won't exchange w/out them being attached.  Oh well, maybe i can learn to live w/ them.  As far as the moose knuckle sidebar, you're on your own man, that's one subject I don't touch when it's comes to dudes.

Eh, you're probably fine. My Teknic Sport pants make me look like I have a really saggy ass when I stand up. When I'm tucked on the bike they are fine. Give them a shot and see how they feel. It'll take a while to get used to the knee armor pressing against your knees and time for the leather to break in so they don't press in with as much force, either.

Sounds about right. It's better if they are a bit snugger, but no big deal. The only thing that matters is how they fit when you're on the bike.

well, you have to think about it literally. they are RIDING pants. so they're designed for RIDING. If they're designed for riding, they're going to fit better when you're in the riding position. unfortunately about 90% of gear is uncomfortable off the bike, imo.

my biggest concern was that if I'm falling or grinding on the ground, i probably won't be in a riding position, so if it's too loose, the padded area may shift.

The padded area in those pants is the armor in the knees and that's about it. You have your leather for abrasion resistance, you'll be okay at non-race speeds.
