I'm now the New Owner of the 71 T500 that I bought a Couple of Years Ago.

JeffG from the Two Stroke Board Dropped it off Saturday and I decided to tear into it this evening and See what needed to go and what it really Needed to run.First thing to go was the King and Queen Like seat. Then the Luggage Rack Came off. Then the Plastic Dirtbike fender and 10 Pounds of Unneeded Rubber Flap that they Had folded over the Swingarm and over the Top Case.  :icon_confused: Next was the Pieces and Parts to the Hillbilly Bike Alarm. After that of Came the Rubbermaid Sandwich Container that was Glued Shut with Silicone and Duck Tape and had Breather Hoses Coming out of it.Just for the Heck of it and see if the Original Owner had Stashed His Crack in it I opened it up to find a Bunch of Hoses and Half of an Ice Cube tray.

Alrighty I made my way o the front to figure out How they had the Fog Light/Thermometer/Compass/Clock Assembly in the Fairing..The Fairing Came off but it will be Going back on to Hide some of the Rust on the Headlight Bucket.

I jerked the Carbs off so that I could put the Missing Right Hand Oil Line on it and change them out with a Good set of Carbs I had setting back just for a situation like this.I pulled the Right one and realized that they had the Left Carb on the right.I pulled the Left Carb and Realized that it was a Left Carb. Confused OK I have 2 Pretty good left Carbs Now. Laughing Now Back to the Handlebars to get rid of the Honda Thumb throttle.  :icon_confused: :icon_confused: Oh well looks like I'm going to have to have some parts now.I think I'll go to the Shop and Sort out a few things to set on it to make it look a Little better until I can Finish it.Looks like I'm going to have to Order Some new Intakes,Clamps,Fork Boots,Top Fork tube Cap/Bolts,Petcock and a few other Misc odds and Ends.Right Now I'm really in need of a throttle and Rear Fender.I may also be Hunting all new wiring because of all of the other goodies that the Last Owner added on.Looks like most of the Harness and Switch started getting Hot since the Wires look Flat Instead of round.Right now I'm going to worry with getting it to fire before I dig into getting a new Harness.   :icon_mrgreen: I don't want to go there unless I really have to.

I was Getting into it this Evening While I had a Chance to work on it and Forgot to take Before Pictures.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
