Preppin the GS for long term storage

SO what should I do to prep for long term storage........   One way or another the DOD gods are going to seperate me from my bike for a while :icon_confused: :icon_confused:

What's the difference? If you don't want to put stabilizer in there, just drain all the fuel and keep it away from moisture.

That IS what the WIKI is talking about.  Follow those rules and you'll be fine.




Personally, I like keeping the tank topped up with Stabil in it, rather than draining it and possibly allowing moisture into the tank.  Plus, then you (or your lucky friend) can start it up every month or so.  Not everybody likes doing that though, so it's up to you.

Yeah storing with a full tank with stabil in it is way better than empty.  A little moisture in the tank and some temp changes can leave you with a little rust in there in no time.

Empty the Tank and Buy some Two Stroke oil.Pour it in the Tank and Roll it Around to coat the Inside.Pull the Spark Plugs and Fog the Cylinders with Seafoam.Jerk of the Carbs ( :flipoff: Turd) and Empty the Bowls.Fog the Inside of the Bowls with Seafoam. :thumb:
If it's Not Broke Modify it.
