OK long story short.Had fairly new grips, went into work, came out 3 hours later, left grip chewed up BAD.  Got home, pulled grip off,on the grip lip there was a number,022.Is this my grip size 22mm?  :dunno_white: My bike is an 89 with factory clip ons. When I pulled the grip off and checked the threaded insert,it was rusted bad.The threads are still vizable. What size tap do I need to clean up the threads?  :dunno_white: I am installing bar end mirrors and new grips.Supossedly the mirror bolts right in,but I wanna make sure the threads are str8.I am unsure if the bolt is correct,or I would measure the threads.

None of the Parts Fishies listed the bolt size...  And it's been too long since I've replaced mine.

The Stealership had the exact part on-hand for a couple bucks.  :thumb:

I'm pretty sure the grips were the same size on the '89 as the other years...   (Someone correct me if I'm wrong).  Check out the ProGrip 719s.  I love 'em.   :thumb:
