The website is www.SonicSprings.com they have a weight calculator.

Add your weight and it will tell you the appropriate rate springs to get.

What ever they suggest I'd go up one more size to compensate for when you double someone or are carrying a load.

I would also recommend no one go less that 0.80kg/mm. Its just too soft!
omg, Am I too light or something? with all my gear and full tank its .8 lol what would be the next up then?

Yeah i wouldn't mind I need some new bulbs anyways. I might need to wait til friday. to get them, or possibly the beginning of next month.

Onlypastrana199

Thats fine with me..it'll prolly take two weeks to get them in from Philips, thats our standard lead time I just need to know how many people will be interested so I can get a quote

Thanks for offering to set this up for us Onlypastrana199

I'd participate in the group buy, depending on the shipped price.

Maybe a new "Phillips X-treme Power Headlight Group Buy" thread should be started to gauge interest form others.

got mine in this week and installed yesterday, and after a good test lastnight, I have to agree with galahs, this is a great mod.

the light is much "whiter" and fuller than the standard bulb, and coming down the Great Western Highway, I could see street signs reflecting light from maybe 200m away.
Remember: shiny side up.

Ok stupid question alert

I'm going to get a set of these for my GS but looking on ebay there are ones for cars, bikes etc... Is there any bloody difference?

I looked on the Philips website and that got even more confusion. I must have taken a dumb@rse pill today I swear.  :cookoo:

Pretty sure the replacement bulbs need to be H4 12V 60/55W globes. As long as they have this on them you are all good. Doesn't matter if it is for cars or bikes.

Hey Guys

I just found these, they're H4 X-Treme Vision 100%. They're selling for the same price as the XTreme Power but not really sure what the difference is. X-Treme power claims that they give an extra 25m vision whereas XTreme Vision say 35m plus a Vision pack gives you two Blue White Parking bulbs.

Anyone tried out the Visions? The specs all suit the GS, 12v 60/55w etc... Just don't really know which ones to go for I suppose.  :dunno_black:

Wouldn't you be better off trying to buy a single globe or do they not come individually as you will only need one? You won't need the parking light as your bike is an Aussie GS and does not have the park option.

missk8t

Unfortunately they only come in pairs. But fortunately my partner just got a bike too which uses H4 bulbs so we'll be replacing his as well.  :thumb:

Isn't the park light the one under the headlight? There are two bulbs in my light casing.

On the USA and Euro model GS' the ignition has a park option so you can leave the park light on in the headlight, Aussie models don't have this.

think its mistaken models .. Dunno about the E type but my F type k6 in aussie has the park bulb too .. Bottom of main lens .. Just always on with rest of lights .. The SWITCH to select park or main however does not exist anymore cos of the hardwired lights law thingy.. Keen to get my fairing back on actually .. Bug splats can sting .. Even though kevlar jeans!
