i am selling my 1997 gs500 because i found a deal on a 2001 ninja.
i have only had my gs500 for a few months it has 10k miles and runs great.
i bought it for $1500 and thought i got a great deal on it.
i am wanting to sell it soon is $1500 firm reasonable. thanks

hey sorry about the lack of info. i was planning on putting it on cycletrader when i got my new computer in.
i am currently with out a computer until around june 1st. i will find out tonite if i am getting the ninja.
if i cannot get the ninja i am keeping my gs500.

i am 2 miles north of daytona beach city limit.

as far as the bike goes it has never been laid down from what i was told. the bike runs great starts up first try every time.
the person i bought it from used it as a commuter for 2 years. it has some type of slip on but i do not know what it is.
it has a bridgestone i believe the bt-45 (140/70-17) rear tire and i am puting a new avon am26 (110/70-17) front tire on it on monday.
the current front tire is the bald stock one. the back tire does not need replacing but i like the avons better and was going to replace
the rear soon if i was keeping the bike. if i think of anything else i will post it and i will gladly answer any questions anyone may have.

i have talked with the guy who is selling me the ninja.
we worked out a deal but the bike must be sold by
Saturday June 23rd. if not he will not be selling the bike.
so i am selling my bike for $1500 firm. i am also posting it
on ebay in the morning. after i will post a link on here so
everyone who is interested can see the pics. hope it sells
if not i guess i will be happy will my gs500.

I live down in Fort Myers...are you willing to meet me half way or help me get the bike down from Daytona?

Do you have any idea what might be slipping (brakes, clutch, trans...)?

I just looked at a bike in Orlando which i was told was in good condtion....went to see it and it had an oil leak, needed a new exhaust, ect...
Does anything need to be done to the bike right now or in the near future.

Last question...do you have any more pics? Thanks a bunch.

i am still new to riding so i do not feel comfortable with riding down I4 to meet you 1/2 way.
i do not have a trailer so i would have to ride it.

the bike is in great condition nothing slips nothing leaks everything works great.

must have cash in hand and a valid  motorcyle licence to test drive.

There are plenty of back roads you can take to meet halfway between fort myers and daytona.  I picked up my GS in daytona, and did backroads all the way back to fort myers.

the only way i am riding to orlando is if i get $50 for my time.

no offence but i really do not want to ride that far. the farthest i will go is orlando.

i only will have it for sale for 5-7 more days. if anyone is interested call me.
no one has called me yet. hopefully i will sell my bike in time but i am still firm on my price.
