Good point about the 919.  Honda spoils Americans rotten by offering it for $8499.  That's a naked liter-class dreambike for $3000 less than the CBR1000RR and there are few takers.  So we can oooh and ahhh all we like at the Euroland models because talk is cheap.

The problem with the 599 and 919 is that Honda thinks they're worth their weight in gold.

And so do the owners that are selling them used.

IMHO, they're nice looking bikes... but, carburetors, steel frames, and unimpressive power-to-weight ratios and performance specs just don't justify the ticket price.

Outside of the cruiser world, you just don't find carbureted bikes at these prices.
