2008 GS650F

Have you guys seen the new 2008 GS650F?  It's a 4-cyl new model for '08.  I wonder if this means that the 500 is gone.  Check it out at www.suzukicycles.com (they have a special '08 feature on the front page).

It looks a lot like a 500, but it's about 100 lbs heavier...

Thats the GSX 650F, a faired bandit.  Probally to replace the Katana.  ( I think I read somewhere that the Katana was going to be discontinued.)

The GS 500F is still there.

I kinda like the look of the B-King,hehe though honestly it may look horrible in person.

I like th look of the 650F as well.  I wonder how many horses it has.  Im also wondering if it falls into the sportbike insurance bracket cause thats not an insureance rate that Id want to pay.

I like the look of the B-king.....but it ends there   Too heavy and too wide.   It's running a front tire wider than a GS rear

The new 650 is a friggin' pig at the weight that is being claimed.
The Katana was ugly, but at least it didn't weigh a metric tonne.

I'd choose an sv650 over that.  I don't like the way the frame is made out of round pipe instead of something rectangular.

Gotta wait till 2010 (I never buy a 'first gen / first run'). -

Parts won't be all over like the GS. Sure, you can buy crap that's pretty, but the solids will be hard to find for quite a while. (It's not a busa either, so everyone isn't going to like it) -





On a big plus, nothing changes about the GS500, it's still here, still fun, and still tons of parts out there for it. Not to mention folks using it as a 'starter' bike and paying the stupid tax (new bike) for us.

i like the b-king but did you see the price $13000. it's a grand more than the busa but it looks so much better but a little on the heavy side 520lbs, 35 more than the busa.

Still stands that the B-king is a behemoth at 520lbs dry  and Suzuki decided to use a de-tuned engine in it.   I'd take my 13k right down to an exotics dealer and ride something Italian instead
( BTW upon seeing both monsters and brutales.  I want  a brutale 910r.  That is one dead sexy bike)

GS500 Still shows in the 2008 line up on suzuki's site
