i need a non welded gs stem to swap into a katan front end.  I have my lower triple with the stem on there but its welded and i dont want to f@ck with it.
if anybody would like to swap stems or has and extra laying around  i can buy that would be great..
( oh and before i get any messages saying "why dont you just file it down and get spacers?"    thats a last resort...will only do that if i have to.)

this is what i need.  although i need it to be the pressed in type.  Which means if you flip the lower triple over you wont see a weld.  That way i can press it into the katanas lower triple and then just slip the the whole front end on.

  I have two well stocked bike boneyards near me...I can check for you.

  Question;   *What year GS's would have the pressed-in stem?
                     * What year is yours?
                     * Is it safe to say,  if the lower tripleclamp is black then it's made of steel and so, the stems welded in? And if the triple is aluminum then the stems a press fit?

   (Last,  if your thinking of selling the gs front-end, and it's straight, I'm interested.)

i Actually have 2 set of forks...not sure what year they came off of but they worked fine on my 96.  i will be getting rid of them here shortly ..
one pair is great they other pair needs the seals replaced.  hit me up on what you need i will have more stuff coming available the farther into the rebuild i get.
