When I reply to a PM, no message is displayed in my outbox.  The message that I am replying to has a disclaimer that states, "you have forwarded or responded," but there is not a copy of the reply in the outbox.  I am not sure if recipients are receiving PM replies.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

So Ime cruising here in the city of Salvador,
where temperatures vary from 27 celsius up to 40+ in the summer time, wandering is'nt this to hot for an aircooled twin?  lots of trraffic lights and traffic jams doesn't make him any cooler,..I also wonder if the white corrosion between the  cilindercoolribs ( hard to clean ) influence the cooling in a negative way.
enigine is running smooth, only the rpm's are rising up to 1100,. normal I gues.

any sugestions comments input?

Helleu guy's

any idea how to get the white corrosion of the cilinders?
its pretty hard reach also, and does it influence the cooling capacity?

Not getting a copy in your Outbox is not a bug -- it's a feature -- an unexpected feature perhaps.

There is a check box in the lower left of the typing area area, that is by default BLANK that says, "Save a copy in my outbox".  If you don't check it, you don't save a copy for yourself.

I was tripped up by that myself, and still to this day if I'm too hasty.   :)

Thanks, I actually figured this out about a week after I posted in this thread.  Feeling a little foolish now, and annoyed realizing that it is just people not replying to PM's rather than them not receiving my messages.  Ah well.

Thanks again

Hello Friend I got an e-mail with these messages, but Ime quite  new to thisI don't understand that I did not get one replie to my questions.
while with other questions I alsway had some answers. ( was it something I said? )

Not a problem but a suggestion.

Instead of having stickies in the "General GS500 Discussion" section, couldn't we just have some links up under the tribute to Rich "Phaedrus"  that link to the appropriate thread.

GS500 Wiki - Forum Rules - Introduce Yourself - Kerry's Valve Adjusting Kit West Coast / East Coast - Forum Technical Problems

Would make it easier to jump to the Wiki for example, but also reduce the need for space wasting stickies.

Just an idea.  :icon_lol:

when I'm using microsoft IE I have HOME HELP SEARCH PROFILE LOGOUT buttons on the right side of the screen. Right next to Rich "Phaedrus" picture. When I'm using firefox everything is OK. the buttons appear on the left side under my own avatar. What can I do to fix that in IE??

Kind of.  You are just posting the wrong kinds of questions in the wrong thread.  This thread is about tech questions concerning the forum itself, not the motorcycle.  Start a new thread about the corrosion stuff in the general discussion.  Also, the only way I know to remove rust is to sand/grind/wire wheel it.  There are some paste/gel products that supposedly remove rust, but I've never used them.  Start a thread about it and you'll probably get better answers.

I have this same question.  I'm on a computer with an older version of IE, and the buttons are in the right place.  However, my computer at home has the most recent version and the buttons are on the right side of the screen.  Is this a problem with IE 7?

I'm new here so hi to all :)

I need some help as the stator on my bike has just packed in and I need to buy a new one.  Apparently the only way to buy one for a gs500 k3 is to buy is straight from suzuki for 180!!!! Does anyone know of anywhere I can get a new one for cheaper than that?!

wrong section. Most likely you will not get the answer cause not too many people visit this section. Post your question in GENERAL GS500 DISCUSSION section:   http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?board=1.0
BTW: I don't know the answer to your question.
Cheers

Not that it matters what you post about here, as questions rarely seem to get addressed in this thread regardless.

The Mark read button always tells me the session verification failed. I'm using firefox if it matters. I did the logout login thing but that didn't fix it.

Thanks

Hello all.
I know it's an old post but I'm experiencing this exact same problem, too.
Current browser: Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11.
Also tried on MS Internet Explorer 6.0 (even from a different PC), but to no avail.
