Ok sometimes when I accelerate too fast i slip back on the seat a little the only thing that doesn't keep me from slipping all the way off is my hands holding onto the bars. Here is the stats:

bike: 416 lbs (guessing with gas)
me: 125 with gear maybe 130 -135 max

I think I should be either a racer with this weight or just eat more and gain some muscle. I am not unhealthy at all, i can run bike for several hours. and no i don't pass out.

Just wait a few years....

Even if you "only" gain one pound a year, it adds up as you get older.  Count your blessings, son.

I would love to go racing, just I don't think gs500 would be something to race. And yes I do appreciate my weight and metabolism. I just think I need t start working out again and slow down on the guitar less.

GS500 and EX500 are two of the msot popular entry level bikes ever created.

As for slipping...get a no-slip pad.  Everybody slips back a bit.  125 is far from "too light".   You'd have to be a toddler to be too light.

Yeah I guess so, I have two race tracks in washington, spokane and kent.

That happens to me too, I'm 130 without gear. I would say grip the tank with your legs, but hard to do when you're taking off from a light.  :dunno_white:

I weigh in at ~140, but was down around 130 when I had my GS. I also had a naked model. You have an F model and are slipping? You need to grip the tank with your legs and use your core muscles (stomach, mainly) to support you. With the F model's fairings you shouldn't be getting that much wind on you anyways. Also, try leaning into the wind a little more.

It was more of a rant if you haven't noticed. I just was wondering what other riders experienced too and if they had it the same problem. don't be so ghey.

I'm a 125lbs and I don't have a sliding back problem.  First thing I thought of was to not hammer the throttle so hard.  Gripping the tank with your knees might help.  And, some grippy tape on the tank; like Stompgrip.

I've had a few smaller girls ride my '00, and from what I can tell, it's just a process of learning how to brace yourself against the acceleration with your knees on the tank/bracing your arms (not holding onto the bars tighter, all upper-arm).

You think you have a problem with slipping back in the seat....wait till you hop on a 600... 1st gear full throttle is a bit scarey. Just hold on!
