This song is dateless http://youtu.be/9muzyOd4Lh8

I saw these guys 20 years after this song was released and it was one of the Best concerts I've ever been to. Such talent, such an appreciative audience, pure magic.

Almost 20 years after the above song they released this, their Last hit http://youtu.be/kmmPFrkuPq0

Unfortunately for the Y Gen and the ones coming up now, they will not know this kind of music. Shame, it is left to Gen X and such to keep it alive.

what i'm listening to right this second .. is the 'muppet show cast' from the business next door ..... trying to figure out why their brand new 10hp trailer/mulcher is not working....

it might just be the 'catch bag' they put on the end of the chute is slowing the velocity of the 'too small and too green' shrubbery they have been feeding into it... so now there will be about 5 feet of chute jam packed with leaves, twigs and debris ... i heard it go to clog state at least 45 seconds before they stopped feeding the hopper ...

time for a smoke break outside in the sun... and a quiet giggle!  :icon_rolleyes:

fun watching this for 20 minutes then say, btw. get the chute unclogged. i promise will run much better

i'll listen to my 'ride mix' on the ipod ... has both fast/aggressive and beachparty/chillout tunes in the mix ... i try not to let it affect my level of attack though .... mostly  :icon_rolleyes: :icon_twisted:... and just loud enough so i can hear it but the surrounding noises .. horns/sirens etc are not drowned out..

only on longer rides though... above about 50k/30min from home ... i find that its just a pain in the butt with around town stuff

yamahonkawazuki

interesting, thanks for the input on that. ive not ever asked about volumes when listening. is the ipod you use, hdd based, or flash based or? reason i ask is some of the older pods sucked when used in situations where vibration or bumping around were a problem/occurence

errr .. 4th Gen Ipod touch 8gb, in ear noise cancelling bud-phones (logitech Ultimate Ears 200) .. the earbuds with soft silicone nubs are great for keeping that pesky wind noise down in the background  8)

think the ipod touch is flash based... sure it is!... my "ride time" playlist changes from month to month so any songs i dont really want to be in there are gone.. it averages about 4 hours of the 9 hours total i currently have...

the flash format once playing has given me zero dramas with any skipping/stuttering ... only minor drama is the touch screen dont work well with gloves so if i do want to change tracks its a real quick click'n'shake at the lights or pulled over for a few seconds..

semi-local trips it lives in my inside jacket pocket and i just listen to whats going... longer trips it goes in the clear map top pocket of a tank bag..

when i get around to it i might install the N-com wireless system that goes with my Nolan N102 helmet .. can link that to phone, ipod, gps, intercom ... but will probably keep it basic, ride time is my time... not bloody phone time... they can leave a voicemail!  :thumb:
