he just sent me an email a few days ago regarding these and said he still is, and that there is no choice in the stainless steel, brushed aluminum, or carbon fiber though.  You get what you get.

You get whatever he's got on hand at the moment.

These are built by hand by him in his own personal shop.

Those look pretty nice.
Of course, if you get what you get, you may get what you don't want.  :cookoo:
Anywhoo, wonder what they sound like.
Carbon Fiber looks pretty though.

Well, I'm pretty sure they're straight through pipes, so:

Then it probably sounds what mine sounds like now which is pretty annoying after a while.
I think my next "upgrade" will be some type of exhaust.

Let us know then what is your exhaust! We will have a chance to avoid it...  :icon_mrgreen:

I asked him in another thread, and he told me that you don't have a choice in the material of the exhaust cover.  Its either going to be one of three things, carbon, stainless, or aluminum.  You get what he gets the best deal on and have no say in the look.  I think that this is about the cheapest route to take for exhaust if you can deal with not having your bike for a while, but I really only wanted the carbon.

I hope that mak's as cool as the chef there to be that way.  I think that they look like a better quality unit than the stupid fart cans that come off of ebay though.  Those are solely car pipes and they sound like an angry pack of bumble bees.  Probably worse on a bike than a 1.5 liter honda.

I'll keep that in mind, rescue.

I do not offer the same exhaust any longer.  The original high-mount was built around what people requested and then no one was interested.  Scott...I have used those cans (the three colored ones) before on GS500's, EX500's, and even my TL1000S.  A single one one either of the 500's or a pair of them on a TL sounds quite nice.  Loud, but quite nice.

Here's a clip of the TL: http://www.photoartclub.net/tl3/cfslips1.mpg

Basically straight pipes with a little packing.  I alaways kick myself for having changed exhausts on the TL before ever having taken pics of a nice, completed product.  Those are all rough and the bike is filthy...

I never got a clip of the GS setup, but Cuda wanted something a bit tamer in the noise department so I put together another can for him:

I wish i had more shots of that one, though.

The only offering now is to rebuild your stock exhaust.  I gut the can and install a straight core and good matting.  Then i resleeve the can with either stainless steel, aluminum, or carbon fiber...whatever i can get for the cheapest cost.  I try to do carbon fiber whenever I can because it's typically cheaper and people think it looks sexy.

Oh yeah...I'm still alive.

do you know where i can get a CF sleeve to install myself?

mak, good to know you're still around doing this.  If possible, when money and weather permit, I'll send the old exhaust your way and have you do this mod for me.

Through me haha.  I have a few local places to hit up for synths.  Go out and measure the can and come back.  I left me notes back in Gruver.
