has anyonw had keys made for their bike by a locksmith?  i bought a bike 6 months ago and cannot find the keys.  i bought it as a rolling chassis so had no use for them up til now but now i am ready to put in on the street and cannot find the keys (if i ever got them).  it was just a rolling chassis so i might have neve had them to begin with.  so has anyone had keys made?  am i beter off just getting a new ignition and tank cap set?  if anyone has had them made what did it run you?

what if a tank it attached to it?

if you take the top triple and the gas cap lock to them they will key it up.  I would just take the top triple in. chances are if the tank came with the bike it still might be the original.  Thus the key that fits the triple will fit the tank.      Now if both keys arnt the same then you have to take the gas cap in.  But at least you wouldnt be spending extra money.    Its cheaper just to get keys made instead of buying a whole new set.

if you can not find original key to made the copy !!!! you can use a old nissan key !! of course a new key! made for your bike . but the old nissan's have the same shape of key . that is bc i try to made copy from the original key went to some key shops and everybody tells me that does not have that type of key so in the last try , in the last shop the person that made my copies said to me that a old nissan car key will fit and made from that . vuala its works perfect .  so when you try to made the key in a shop and if they tells you that does not have keys for that bike you are going to say them use the old nissan car key ...

also you can use an actual key from and old toyota 1.8 and will turn on your bike, wile you find a set of key for you . I can turn on my bike with my friend car's key old Mazda 323 hatchback ..

the GS is a very easy bike for stealing .. y turn on with some different old cars key

That's crazy!

That old nissan key you got, does it have a black plastic top?
I want to get a new key, but the only ones I've been able to find are cheap looking all metal keys..

If you still have the seat lock it has the key code printed on it.  You should be able to get a key cut just from that easily.
