About two weeks ago I finished the rejetting and installing the K&N and also putting in the progressive springs but today I finally replaced my ignition. So this was the first time I have been able to test ride since the new mods. Let me first say the Progressive springs are amazing! I now know what you are talking about when you say this mod is a must. With the K&N clamp-on the engine is a lot louder. It sounds great. My question is: how do check if I am lean or rich? I put in 140/40/3.5 turns out and 2 washers on the needles. I'm very proud of myself doing this job for the first time, but I couldn't have done it without the help of this board. Nwo how do I know if I'm lean or rich?

daniel.. congrats.. you had the balls to go where i needed help with.

Check your plugs for how your running. I believe you warm up and then you ride a bit on the way back you hit the gas and then hit the kill switch and coast (pulling in clutch) to a stop.. then take out the plugs and check it.

If its white, your running lean/hot
if its brownish gray its in the right zone.
If its rich its blackend.

Edit:

I am waiting to put on the progressive springs. I will do so next week.

By the way your running a stock pipe right?

Anyway if you want join us for the next GStwin Ride on the 16th (check meet and greet). Also do you want to meet up for Wednesday night @ topanga?
