nice choice, how much is the insurance on the sv over the 500?  im sure the insurance on the gixxer would have been terrible, plus everyone an there brother has a gixxer, an most think their stunters so they have been ridden hard, an yes there are exceptions so i don't wanna hear ur but, but but stories

The SV is $20 more a month than the GS, the Gixxer would have been $70 more.  The Gixxer was ridden very hard and it showed.  You could park the SV at a dealership and have a hard time telling it wasn't a brand new bike.

that's funny cause my insurance went up like 5 bucks from the gs500 to the gixxer. but would have gone up like 100 with an sv650.....they go by cc's so the sv650 is more...it's stupid...

Out of curiousity I got a quote on a 2007 GSX-R1000 and it was $350 a month.  I almost fell out of my chair, I couldn't believe it.

am I the only one who thinks paying $4000 for an SV with 10k+ is steep? a brand new plain standard 650 is $6000.

The insurance in Portland is way cheaper--seasonal riding and less traffic craziness. I paid $250/yr to geico, when I got here they quoted me a price more than five times that.

It really depends on the time of year for selling a bike. At the beginning of a season or during, you will always get more. But you if you think $4k is a lot, people sell used ninja 250's for $3k used! I don't know if I've seen a used sv650s go for less than 4k here. Somebody is even trying to sell my old GS500f for $4300!! haha.

Gosh, I should shutup.  The market here is dirt cheap.  I've seen SV1000's for 4k  and 650's under 3k consistantly
