Restrictor in Australian 07 gs500f???

Have heard a few ppl sayin that my model of bike must have a rstrictor in the exhaust. Am gettin it rejetted next week and a staintune pipe put on....... Anyone know of any sort of restriction device for emissions of sonmething? Can i remove it?? any help thanks!!!

I read something that made me wonder if the 07 Australian model has changed a little.
