Available at Suzuki Dealers around the country, suggested retail prices (inc GST) on the applicable models are as follows: GSR600 $10,990, GS500F $8,290, GS500 $7,390, AN650 $12,990, AN400 $9,490, AN250 $8,990.

* Fuel card offer includes GST.

In todays Trader, Peter Stevens (Adelaide) has a full page spread on discounted bikes.
The GS500F is going for $7190 + on road & the GS500 is $6190 + on road. And you get the $250 fuel card.

Man, thats cheap. Bought a SV1000S four weeks ago from Kesseners. Maybe now isn't the best time to sell my GS.

man, that is cheap.... there was only $50 difference in price when I got mine (between Kessners and Peter Stevens) the decision made by the fact Kessners had the bike in stock PS had to get one in.... I paid $7,450 + onroads back in May and didn't get the fuel voucher so what they are going for now (+ fuel voucher) is pretty darn good  :thumb:

how are you finding the SV?

ten months before restrictions are gone and I can upgrade

Can't flick it through the corners as easy as the GS & getting a few vibes through the right hand bar but other than that, i love it. The GS now feels slooooow.
Thought about the SV650, but with the discounting at the moment, i couldn't resist & went for the thou.

I tell you bikes are going very cheap atm.

My mate got a 2007 ZX-10R Special Edition for $14,200 + onraods

and you could get a ZX-635 for $10,990 drive away!

A mate just sold his 05 ZX-10. Hated the seating position but i fell in love with that engine.

I thought the 636 was no more? Just 600's for 07. But your right, now is the time to buy new.

So how is the overall transition from GS to a liter bike? I'd love to hear all the little details? In the future I see myself eventually moving into 1000cc territory (not because I dislike the GS but because I like just trying something new), but still affraid it may be too much for me to handle.
Do you feel comfortable with triple or so power boost? How about the weight? Did you ever feel you're about to loose control (dropped clutch, too fast into a corner, etc)? Things like that.

It maybe a great separate topic many people would love to read. After all we all dream (hidded or not) for something "better". Not better than GS per say, but better as in "grass is greener"  :icon_lol:

Thanks!

the above was a great ride, lots of riders with the windy conditions being the only negative. From what I seen there were 3 GS500's present  :thumb: amongst a great assortment of bikes.

there are some great pics of the ride on the website (link below), hit the gallery link, then 5 ferries run 23rd september 2007... look for the GS500F (blue 'n white) on page 5   :thumb:  :icon_lol:

yeah, not bad... I still cop the wind but not as much as with the stockie... also is easier (and more comfortable) to duck down under the wind with the tourer...   :icon_mrgreen:
