I recently put ont some rear sets from an 04 gixxer they are great I had to add some more length to the shift lever and cover it wil a piece of 3/8 tubing to make it stronger. My issue is one is further foward than the other, The brake set it about an inch further foward than the shifter, I bolted the top to the stock Gs hole and make a three point bracket on for the top bolt(stock location) the bottom(stock location) and a third for the bottom of the rear set. Why are they off what gives? are the mouting holes the GS identical on both side or are they off a little bit? if they are both even on the frame then why are my rear sets off?

The GS mounting holes are in the same place.... are the Gix plates symetrical?
Common sense in not very common.

The gsxr plates are in the same place on both sides of the bike.

Maybe the GSXR's plates are at different distances back on the bike.

This is common amongst kaw's and yam's,  I've seen several zx's and r's where the spacing of the bolts is different on each side.  However, I have never noticed it on Suz's :dunno_white:
