Will older Yoshimura Exhausts work on newer models?

I have an 02 GS500 and I found a pipe recently made by Yoshimura. But it originally went on a 1994 model GS500. Will this exhaust work on my newer 02?

Yes.

There may be a problem with 04+ models since the oil pan is a little lower (due to the extra plumbing for he oil cooler). All the Yosh exhuasts that I have had, on 89-97 models, touch or are very close to the oil pan.

If it doesn't fit, you won't have ANY problem getting rid of it.

Crap!!

Just got an old(beat up) Yosh system off ebay for my '04, it came off a '91 race bike. Haven't had a chance to test fit it. I'm still trying to drill and tap two of the bolts that broke off (PO cross threaded them.) Hope it fits, I'll catch hell trying to get rid of it, looks like Poop!

Thats not a bad price, maybe a bit high but you can always make a cover for it as the baffle and pipe themselves look fine.
