Normally you do.. go from something like 120 grit.. to 300.. eventually to 2000.. the surface has to be very smooth  :dunno_white:

Largely, I made that post to play devil's advocate and see if the board thought it was appropriate or not.  Guess they do, and I do too, I suppose.
