Being in the military, I am now stationed in Washington DC. My current policy for my GS is with Progressive but they don't insure for DC residents (maybe because of the diplomatic immunity?). Called around but only GEICO insures and what they quoted me is ridiculously high for a 17 year old bike. Maybe a long shot, but anybody living in DC find affordable insurance or know of a site that I couldn't find that lists available insurance companies?

Thanks for the help.  :)

how much have GEICO told you??
I have GEICO in NYC and I don't pay much, and I think NYC has kinda high insurance rates for motorcycles.
Also try calling GEICO instead of making the quote online. They often give you better deal than online quote. In my case I saved $250 per year.
cheers

They'll probably be a decent resource.  but I can't vouch for the attitude or atmosphere of the board.

dont use DC as your actual living area. We are in the Marines and use Geico because it is the best I have ever dealt with. Use an adress out of Quantico from a higher headquarters. Do you actually live in DC or work there or vice versa?
