I need to know ur opinion?  which would u rather get?  I was leaning toward the 3/4 for looks.  I know the full is more protective though.  Is visibility better in a 3/4?

I know a lot of people have a full helmet.  But thats not to say its what I want.  But still having a hard time deciding..   :dunno_white:

I went full. More protection, not only from a potential head collison but also from wind, bug, rocks, and other misc. road debris. I have never worn a 3/4th helmet, but I'd say visibility would be pretty similiar. I find full face helmets more stylish anyway. Goldwing riders wear 3/4th helmets. The GS is more of a sport bike. Rock the full face helmet.

Full face....3/4 helmets look ridiculous.  You can also get the modular full face helmets that have the flip-up chin section.  Similar to this.

full. visibility is same or better in full. only difference is you can smoke (and lose your chin in a crash) wearing a 3/4.

I wanted something color or graphic wise to maybe match my bike.  Heres a pic.  silver and blue 2001 colors:

Im thinking silver.  To match and also..  That would also be more visible to cagers, and give the squids something to think about..
What do yall think? :flipoff:

I wish I would have gotten the Californian model though. The graphics are alot cooler than my stupid dragon and chinese lettering...haha. It was cheaper though, and all they had in stock.

The Californian is mostly white...probably a little more visible. I'd never get a black helmet. Also thinking about buying some reflective tape to put on my helmet and jacket.

Modulars suck. Local track banned the usage of them when a rider went down wearing one, it sheared the hinge point on the flip up and she had to be flown out. She wound up with a broken orbital socket around one eye and some other damage. This was during a novice group warm up session on a 250 ninja so her speeds were not anything unreasonable to be seen on the street.

My lid of choice.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

I'll vote for full-face as well.  And, way more important than which helmet you choose, is that you WEAR IT EVERY TIME YOU RIDE.

As far as which one, choose the one that best fits your head shape.

Ahh yes, the RF1000. The choice of high class riders everywhere (or at least me and bettingpython).

Everyone has covered the safety part already, and I definitely agree that you should go full face for that reason alone. But you originally said that you wanted a 3/4 for looks. Personally, I'm of the opinion that a 3/4 face makes you look like you should be riding a scooter. On a nice sportbike or naked bike, I think full face helmets look badass.
