Many things are possible with a ZX6 towbike.
407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

Indicated speed is not the same as actual speed... I would guess that you toped out at less than 115 as the GS has a documented top speed of about 110  :thumb:

I'd be taking that with a pinch of salt   next time take a GPS with you  :thumb:

an indicated 135km/h (I know you are taking miles an hour!) on my bike (07 GS500F) gives a reading of 120km/h on the GPS..... a mates bandit has a similar though not quite so bad difference in true speed and indicated speed...

I was tailing an F430 spyder the other day and we compared notes afterwards.  His speedo was telling him 131 while mine was registering a little under 140.  I'm going to hope that his is the more accurate of the two given the price.

I weigh 160 and my bike tops the speedo at 130. Up to 110 I know the speedo is right bacause thats what the dragstrip clock says too. On a good day with no wind and a good draft from anouther bike and it is possible. My 98 will do it when im in a pack.hahahaha

No offens, but the GS just doesn't produce the kind of power needed to hit 130.  While technically the gearbox is capable of it, if I hooked a weedeater engine up to my GSXR's transmission it wouldn't hit 130.....hell it wouldn't hit 30.

Once again:

With this on your GS you can hit 150

Top speed is only really limited by horsepower and drag. If you weighed 220 pounds - and everything else was the same ( your size/shape, power  of the bike..drag coefficient , gearing etc etc) - you would reach the same top speed- you would just take a little bit longer to get there.

The average  Gs  might get you to 115-118 mph on a good day....at 7-10%  error ( as you go faster the error gets bigger..) that would put you to close to an indicated 125-130.

I've been over 180+ mph Indicated..( realistically it was maybe 170 mph ) on My ZX11 years ago. It was dumb...but I had to know.

Yeah, let's not bring reality into this. There's enough of that going on in the world.

I def. hit 130 when i first got my GS - I think it had more in it to be honest...hugging the gas tank it made it there relatively quickly for a small bike. 15T sprocket
