So I'm about to tear apart my carb and try to free a stuck mixture screw.

Since 99.9999% of projects I start require 3 attempts minimum, and 50% of the third attempts destroy whatever I was attempting to fix to begin with, I might as well beg for carbs now. <shrug> I guess any year is fine, (I have a 98) provided they aren't complete shEite.

Tried heating the carb body around the screws up with a heat gun?

All I had was a hair dryer. It warmed things up, but the screw is pretty frozen. I've even shocked it with a blast from a CO2 cartridge, soaked in PBBlaster overnight, tried the 'tap it with a hammer while turning' method, everything from my knowledge base.

I've nicked the threads now from all my attempts, but IF the screw were to move at all it would likely clean them up on the way out, since the aluminum is so soft. <shrug>

I'm just going to try and find a different set of carbs to piece together I guess.
