Well I gave her a bath today, couldn't resist taking and posting pictures

Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

jserio

ah, BP i must say you have a sexy bike.  :thumb: i've always thought honda built very durable vehicles. it's just a shame to me that they offer nothing in the "beginner" category. aside from the rebel.(which i learned to ride on btw.)

bettingpython

Yeah honda really doesn't offer the beginner anything now. They no longer offer the rebel either, but they do offer the nighthawk still in the 250 class which is better than the rebel IMO standards beat cruisers any day.

spc

I've always kinda like the nighthawk.  Decent looking little bikes.

jserio

i was just at honda website. they have the rebel for 08.

and they still offer the nighthawk as well. they had 2 nighthawks in my training class. the taller folks rode them. the short folks like me got the rebels.  :thumb:

Dude is that your bike in your avatar?

You own a real bike then.

My bike is really good at scaring the piss outta yourself and fractuing traffic laws with such alarming frequency I almost don't ride it around town anymore.

There's something to be said about owning a bike that when you get pulled over you can laugh at the cop and go wheelie's.???? Top speded?????

Don't get me wrong it's a riot but 2 wheels are 2 wheels. It's not what you ride it's that you ride.

So did you get your cat out of the tree, BP?   :)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

no I never had a problem with a cat in a tree. I think that was someone else in another thread.

Oh I get it the ladder :cookoo: me. Yeah I am in the process of cutting that big ass oak down. I keep hoping someone will steal that ladder I dropped an 8" diameter limb about 20' in length frum about 30' up and it came down ont that ladder. The ladder has never been the same. :dunno_white:

yeah yeah yeah srinath its 95.4% of a liter, he has a napoleaonic complex though and insists on being treated like he really is a liter though.

wow... you can't beat Honda for fit & finish.  that bike looks amazing!  :thumb:

I can remember a few years back they were practically giving away 954's in central PA (overproduced, clearing out for the new 1000RR?).  I think they had knocked something insane like 3000 bucks off the price.  I was sore tempted, but didn't have the skills.

enjoy that bike.
2 C8H18 + 25 O2 = 16 CO2 + 18 H2O + :)
the bikeography is down for a bit
what IS a Hokie?

bettingpython

Christ 3 grand off of MSRP that would have been an insane deal, should have bought one and praed for your survival into motorcycle maturity :icon_twisted:

hell they still sell used for almost that much...LOL guess it means it's a good investment :thumb:

Yeah the 1000rr :icon_rolleyes: Honda bowed to the bench racers and armchair GP pilots more power at the cost of extra weight and decreased handling.

Damn I'm looking forward to the new 08 now, the looks sucked when I first saw the pictures but in typical honda style it's growing on me.

i've heard that of the Big 4, honda makes the most forgiving 600cc and 1000cc machines. still not newbie friendly of course. that's just what i've  heard anyhow. i could be mistaken.  :dunno_white:

Yep dats my GS in my avatar.Looks a little different now but not much.I stepped down from a gix750srad to a GS.I made it a few years without a bike and the GS came with a hard to beat price.I guess I got to used to the twist and go.Now it's down shift twist and hope it goes.  I luv my little GS easy to do maintainence and repair.
PICS are GONE never TO return.

bettingpython

The SRAD is nothing like the new 750's and freking liters really are insane anymore. I really want a middle weight bike but since the only available option is the gixxer it aint gonna happen for me.

I joined here when I bought my GS to sort a few issues out and just kept hanging around. The GS was my obstinate I don't give a shaZam! I ain't ever gonna be without a bike again bike.

trumpetguy

Beautiful bike, BP.  I sure hope you won't be embarrassed to ride with my ratbike. :o

My GS is very functional, but it's not very pretty!  However, I ride the snot out of it.  Shortly after I bought it for $1400, I was on top of Mt. Scott in the Wichita Mountains (nice biker hangout) talking to a guy on a fairly recent BMW.  He had just paid $1300 for a clutch job -- I was laughing inside and didn't tell him I paid $100 more for my entire bike.

Mechanically, I keep my bike in great shape, but cosmetically it's kind of like me -- middle aged and looks better from a distance.
